I started this project and it never left my house, but everything is ready to go. Everything is working perfectly, but I just don’t have the time to spend on this project anymore, so hopefully my loss will be someone else’s gain. I have spent over $1000 on these parts, but I will let it go for $750 which includes shipping to anywhere in the continental US. My ebay profile username is the same as my username here, so you can see my feedback.
Here are the stats on the system
*External Components Included*
_Lilliput EBY701 7″_ - Taken out of box and used in setup environment in my home, but never taken apart (seal unbroken). I also applied the software hack to make it come on when the PC kicks on
_OBDPro USB Scantool and cable_ - Allows you to hook your carpc to your car and read diagnostic codes and display all kinds of car info. This is an authentic one bought here in the US and not one of the cheap ebay knockoffs.
_Directed HD Radio AND Mitch’s Adapter Cable_ - Get free HD Radio through your CarPC using this unit and the special adapter cable
_BU-353 USB GPS Receiver_ - Probably the best on the market right now. Picks up a signal fast and is very accurate
_4 Port HP USB Hub _- This is powered off the M2-ATX 160W DC-DC, so no additional external power is needed.
*Computer*
_CPU _- Intel Celeron 220 1.2GHz - Very low power usage and fast. Essentially a low power consumption Core 2 Solo. It’s fanless, but I have put an older P3 CPU fan on there just to be safe. I will include the original fanless heatsink in case you want to switch back to it.
_Motherboard_ - Intel D201GLY2 mini ITX - Very small and powerful motherboard that has the CPU above embedded
_RAM_ - 1GB (single stick)
_Hard Drive_ - 120GB Seagate
_SoundCard _- Integrated Sound -See mobo specs for more details
_Power_ - M2-ATX 160W DC-DC
_Case_ - Mobile Computing Solutions Black Aluminum Case that measures 10″ x 9.25″ x 3.125″. It’s pretty small and resembles an amp. Power connectors are easy to access externally and even has a power connector for the Lilliput so you can power the PC and monitor easily
_Bluetooth_ - USB Bluetooth adapter connected directly to motherboard.
*Operating System
*nlited version of XP with RoadRunner installed. If preferred, I will wipe the drive clean.
This is a very small PC that looks a lot like an amp. I’ll post more pictures, but here’s a few to give you an idea.
