LinuxICE Beta3 on hold :(

Due to some technical difficulty, Beta3 will be postponed indefinitely. For unknown reasons, I am unable to build a working live cd with the current base of LinuxICE. it dies and sits in a busybox shell when I attempt to test it.

What I’m going to do is build from the ground up again using ubuntu 8.04 and call it LinuxICE 1.5 or 2…

For now, LinuxICE Beta2-1 is the latest. There will be still updates for it until I can get the new core up. nGhost2 is in the unstable repo along with icepanel and a bunch of other good stuff.

Scion Tc Custom Sub

I want to know if anyone can build me a custom fit sub for my scion tc. I don’t know how to work with firber glass all that well, and I have seen some really nice things done with it.

Please let me know if anyone can point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Phil

FS 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB Hard Drive, 7″ Liliput, HD Radio, Bluetooth, OBDPro and more

I started this project and it never left my house, but everything is ready to go. Everything is working perfectly, but I just don’t have the time to spend on this project anymore, so hopefully my loss will be someone else’s gain. I have spent over $1000 on these parts, but I will let it go for $750 which includes shipping to anywhere in the continental US. My ebay profile username is the same as my username here, so you can see my feedback.

Here are the stats on the system

*External Components Included*
_Lilliput EBY701 7″_ - Taken out of box and used in setup environment in my home, but never taken apart (seal unbroken). I also applied the software hack to make it come on when the PC kicks on
_OBDPro USB Scantool and cable_ - Allows you to hook your carpc to your car and read diagnostic codes and display all kinds of car info. This is an authentic one bought here in the US and not one of the cheap ebay knockoffs.
_Directed HD Radio AND Mitch’s Adapter Cable_ - Get free HD Radio through your CarPC using this unit and the special adapter cable
_BU-353 USB GPS Receiver_ - Probably the best on the market right now. Picks up a signal fast and is very accurate
_4 Port HP USB Hub _- This is powered off the M2-ATX 160W DC-DC, so no additional external power is needed.

*Computer*
_CPU _- Intel Celeron 220 1.2GHz - Very low power usage and fast. Essentially a low power consumption Core 2 Solo. It’s fanless, but I have put an older P3 CPU fan on there just to be safe. I will include the original fanless heatsink in case you want to switch back to it.
_Motherboard_ - Intel D201GLY2 mini ITX - Very small and powerful motherboard that has the CPU above embedded
_RAM_ - 1GB (single stick)
_Hard Drive_ - 120GB Seagate
_SoundCard _- Integrated Sound -See mobo specs for more details
_Power_ - M2-ATX 160W DC-DC
_Case_ - Mobile Computing Solutions Black Aluminum Case that measures 10″ x 9.25″ x 3.125″. It’s pretty small and resembles an amp. Power connectors are easy to access externally and even has a power connector for the Lilliput so you can power the PC and monitor easily
_Bluetooth_ - USB Bluetooth adapter connected directly to motherboard.

*Operating System
*nlited version of XP with RoadRunner installed. If preferred, I will wipe the drive clean.

This is a very small PC that looks a lot like an amp. I’ll post more pictures, but here’s a few to give you an idea.

MDX Crash on win64? Immediately on startup

So I am running Vista 64 bit and the MDX crashes immediately on starting.

I am getting a “is not a valid Win32 application” error … now I have seen this stuff happen before, when I was using 32bit versions of the emedded sqlserver include dll’s and compiling the app to 64bit… Changing my app to compile to 32bit instead of anycpu fixed the error — are you compiling to anycpu or a specific platform?

Also I think this is going to be chain dependent, such as if MDX includes a dll that indlues a dll etc then the last dll is going to determine what all the other files need to be compiled against. I think you may end up having to compile everything individually and make a 32bit release and then a 64bit release all the way down to the driver wrapper and maybe even the driver (or is that already done)?

Anyways anyone else had this error on win64? (vista or xp?)

TV Tuner Plugin

Does anyone have the TV Tuner plug in that you could share with me? I want to try to get it to work with CF 2 RC3 but it is not on the download site at Flux.

Hack Alpine Ai-Net

I have the Alpine PXA-H510. It has three optical inputs and by default it uses the DVD input. Is there anyway to hack Ai-Net to use the two other optical inputs?

dynamix 10″ is pain in the you know what…

OK two years ago i got a dynamix 10.2″ screen

http://dynamixcomputers.com/dyx_102trm.html

this one, and i think i paid 400-ish anyhow… i have two problems. one is that the screen flickers at odd times, randomly… i took it apart years ago and just put it together last month… the second problem is that when i start the pc the screen doesnt automaticly boot up… the controle pannal displays a red light. then i press the power button and it displays a green light…

there isnt much or any dipswitches on any of the circut panels… this was a flip down display but now its in my dash… and my dash is in my basement… ****ing me off…

I have tried to ground every pannel to the screen then to the ground supplied to the carputer.

the noise i suspect is comming trough the vga port though… when it was still in my car i was getting the same noise, eventhough its on a 1.6fard cap???

has any one delt with this screen?

M-Audio Transit hibernation problem

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced with USB audio and hibernation in general? Since I installed a M-Audio USB Transit to my Asus Tablet PC (R2H UMPC), it’s crashing when waking up from hibernation and reboot.

Any work around this would be greatly appreciated.
